For more comprehensive testing, Hicom can provide full wet or dry pilot test facilities at our Sydney plant.
These plants are used for very accurate continuous performance testing, and also for research and development into new products or processes.
Each plant is equipped with a Hicom 25 mill (25kW), in a continuous circuit mode. The dry pilot plant includes a high performance classifier designed to separate material down to 3 micron. Fine product is then collected in a reverse pulse filter system.
The facility also includes online particle size measurement for instantaneous results, which also allows for monitoring and control of the many plant variables.
The wet pilot plant is equipped with a Hicom 25 mill (25Kw) and a series of cyclones to cut ground product at appropriate sizes, with slurries being recovered in a high-speed centrifuge.
Slurry densities are monitored through a nuclear density meter with all information collected through the system PLC.
Pilot tests confirm achievable particle size distributions (PSDs), system energy requirements (throughputs) and detailed specific product data. These details are then provided in a comprehensive report to our customers on a "fee for service" basis. |
