The Hicom mill is an innovative, "high
intensity mill," developed for ultrafine grinding at lowest specific energy for mineral processing industries. The origins of the Hicom mill lie in the concept of centrifugal milling and has superseded the problems of low power density of the conventional tumbling mill operating under gravity.

Material is fed into the top of the chamber and after being ground, is discharged through grated ports around the periphery of the chamber.

When working in dry mode, the mill operates under negative air pressure, with the ground product drawn to auxiliary classification and product collection equipment.

The mill can operate autogenously (rock on rock), or with grinding media for very fine particle production. It can quickly change between product sizes and different materials. The mill's ability to directly target ultrafine production, allows the selection of much smaller classification and collection equipment than that of a conventional ball mill circuit for equivalent production. This means a much reduced capital and operational cost for our customers.
